hill top farm

Hill Top Farm Holiday Cottages is a family run business, located within the 14 acres of Hill Top Farm, in Cheshire Peak District, which has a working stable with manege and a small number of farm livestock.

The farm is located on the outskirts of Marple on the Cheshire/Derbyshire border. Set on the hillside and enjoys long unspoiled views down the valley, the surrounding hills and the edge of the Peak District National Park.

Stay in either of our 4* quality cottages and visit the Derbyshire Peak District, Cheshire and Derbyshire market towns, National Trust and English Heritage sites or even the city of Manchester.

If you don't want to drive, Marple is well served by public transportation links. The rail station is just a few minutes away and bus routes serve adjoining towns and major cities in the region. Or closer to home walk the peaks and dales, moors and the beautiful rambling countryside. The area is ideal for walking, cycling or just driving and sight seeing any time of year.

In the evening explore local parks and gardens and visit the local pubs and restaurants in and around Marple and Marple Bridge. The Peak Forest Canal (completed in 1805) is accessible via a footpath and passes the bottom fields. A footbridge takes you to the tow path where you can access the 15 miles of the canal which runs between Ashton-under-Lyne and Whaley Bridge. The 1.6km that runs through Marple contains 16 locks and also joins the canal to the Macclesfield section at Marple Junction.
