Official visitor guide produced in association with the
Visit Chester & Cheshire regional tourist board.
Thursday, 9th September 2010
After all this eating and drinking in the pubs and restaurants of the Cheshire Peak District, you will want to make sure you take some of the treats home with you to share with family and friends!
Shop for treats at the local farmers markets where you know that the produce is fresh and seasonal. Producers take pride in doing things the traditional way - slowly, in small quantities and by hand.
Or visit one of the many farm shops that showcase the best local produce, try the Housekeepers Store at Tatton Park, with its estate reared Venison as one of its most celebrated products.
Why not drop by the Cheshire Smokehouse, where you can taste the smoked meat in their own café.
If it’s locally brewed beer that you are after visit one of the local micro brewery’s such as Beartown Brewery.
